MAGIC...Truly a Universal Language

Touched by a recent email, we created a page in honor of our military personnel overseas in a world that has gone a little crazy. Pictured is 1LT Matthew Wadler, 3d Battalion, 321st Field Artillery. 1LT Wadler is currently serving in the country of Afghanistan.

In addition to being a field artillery officer,he is also a magician, who has had the great opportunity to perform at several orphanages since arriving in country.

Already carrying M16s, body armor, extra ammunition, cases of water, and MREs, 1LT Wadler finds what little room he has to carry a few tricks for the kids. The children are the innocent victims of something they don't quite understand. A smile, a laugh, a shimmer of hope in a hostile world is priceless.

This is truly the magic.
